Monologues archiveEnjoy an evening of monologues in the Studio: The Last Rocky - Adrian 'Rocky Sylvester has played the field, but now at forty years old, he finds that he is dying of cancer so it is a time for reflection. For Love - Pauline is a fifty year old woman who works on the breakfast buffet of an international airport hotel. She has just received confirmation of her divorce, but for her it is nothing more than a distraction as she has never fully recovered from her sister s suicide twenty-five years earlier. The Crying Years - Trudy is the twenty year old mother of baby Danny, married for two years to Phil. But it is Spike, Phil s best friend who she really loves and when he returns home after eighteen months overseas, the old feelings she has been so desperately trying to hide take no time to resurface. Forever and a Day - Brian Harrington-Smythe is the fifty year old manager of a kitchen installation company. He is the non-executive director who feels that the knives are out for him. Now the modern age seems overwhelming.
