Monsoon is a perfectly naive but intelligent statement about the earth and the perils of human exploitation. An imaginary island is swept by a monsoon where three characters in search of life struggle with humour against climatic and industrial change. A whimsical world is created where wind and rain become music and dance. Strange animated objects, monstrous machines and bizarre instruments are activated to produce wondrous sounds, strange vistas, sensational figures and inventive symbols; the performers set off a theatrical laboratory which soon creates its own life. Monsoon - theatre of objects, movement and musical images - takes you without a word, to a land where nothing is as it seems.
