Noel is recording one final message for his best mate Richard on an old tape recorder, which has seen them through many teenage nights with a few cans of cider, listening to the Thomson Twins and Howard Jones. Noel has a lot to get through on two sides of a cassette. Their adolescence in Wexford town chasing after wild Dublin girls bears a mention. Noel's love of dodgy music must be justified. And mostly, Noel needs to explain what really happened with Rose, the lost love of his life.
