The second of Billy Roche's Wexford trilogy. Set in an old fashioned Wexford betting shop on the weekend leading up to the All Ireland Hurling Final, Danger Doyle returns to town to face all those left behind - Joe, his old sidekick; Molly, his old flame; Steven, whose wife he ran away with and Eileen her abandoned daughter. Passions run high as old wounds re-open, scores are settled and fragile truces torn asunder.
