A collaboration between theatre-makers and skaters, Project Derby questions how we take up, create and protect the spaces we need. Galvanised by encounters and connections with the female led world of this grassroots sport, the work explores three interconnected ideas - space, gender constructs and the modern body. Expect hits, whistles, yelling, sweat and speed - a powerful, forceful structure in which to consider relationships, conditioning and resistance.
