Puzzle Women is an exhilarating spy story about illicit love and the piecing together of fragments of memory. In the time between the breaching of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the government, the East German secret police (Stasi) did all they could to destroy the evidence of their activities. They shredded, tore and burnt around the clock. When protestors finally broke into their offices they found 16,000 sacks of paper shards. A team was put together, armed only with Sellotape and patience, to begin the process of sticking the pieces back together. They were The Puzzle Women.
