Rings of E-Ni-Shi

T1652889380
The show uses dance, movement, music and poetry to explore E-Ni-Shi, the karmic relationships between Shakespeare, Elizabeth I, Cervantes, Japanese Christian martyrs, contemporary Japanese performers and the British audience. The original music uses instruments such as sho, koto, shamisen and shakuhachi to explore traditional, yet contemporary Japanese melodies.
