What about in the old days eh? When they used to have public hangings and every bugger across the town would turn up to be entertained by some poor sod snapping their neck. People are bastards. It's not all like that. People can be good. They can change. You'll never last son. You've not got the balls to do anything. Holed up in their grimy London flat, Robbie and Carl are trapped in a dingy world of petty criminality and the eerie presence of their dead mother. But since Robbie was accidentally involved in a heroic act he has secretly yearned for change - and a rare date with young mum Gemma could be his big chance. Just as long as his overbearing brother, his junkie neighbour and his murky past don't engulf them both. He wants to be good. Really he does. But it's a bloody struggle.
