Sammy! archiveThe play looks beyond the image of Gandhi as a dhoti-clad man with a spinning wheel; to reveal how he went on to develop his philosophy of 'Satyagraha' (non-violence) as he observed injustices around him. It shows how he tried to lead by example much to the consternation of his wife, Kasturba, who although fiercely smart, found herself acquiescing to his many demands, as Gandhi wrestled with his self doubts and 'experiments' with the truth.
