Frank and Agnes McIlroy return to the Guest House they spent their honeymoon in 25 years earlier and Agnes is hoping for a second honeymoon. The guest house which is run by the tyrannical Mrs Liggett, has not altered much in the intervening years. Her maid Vera tries hard to get a few more slices off each tomato but her thoughts stray to her latest boyfriend, an American Sailor called Henry Jefferson. Fellow guests include Mrs Mansfield and her under-the-thumb husband Walter, a neurotic hypochondriac Mrs Harchness, newly weds, Stephen and Sally Mitchell, and a ballet dancer, Victor Bruce. When Agnes's old flame Malcolm Adair turns up the scene is set for a week of hilarious upheaval that will reverberate all around the north Down coast. This hilarious comedy is set in late 1950s and features a myriad of familiar and much-loved characters.
