Shy Shining Walls

Shy Shining WallsT01892040824
An exquisite, miniaturist duet from Central America, Shy Shining Walls is a story of the male-female relationship, played out in five parts, with a cracking soundtrack from Arvo Part, Kevin Volans, Wim Mertens and others. Two chairs, a man, a woman and a percussion track rocking from industrial to primeval; so begins this exploration into the innermost workings of that most intimate of relationships. Inspired by Hispanic culture this wonderfully tongue in cheek, highly original performance melts together the dance, clowning and theatre techniques of artists like Grotowski, Pilobolus and Martha Graham with something akin to the magic of harlequin.
