Silent Wings archiveA story about four young people coping, set inside Theresienstadt (Terezin), a Czech concentration camp designed by the SS during World War Two, and inspired by a published collection of art and poetry ?I Have Not Seen A Butterfly Around Here' created by the young people incarcerated there, This powerful play looks at a time in our world's history that was full of horror, but equally full of compassion. The human condition was placed under pressures that one simply cannot imagine, but to see how the young poets and artists observed the world at war around them, proves that good can always be found despite the adversity and oppression they faced during their short lives. The four young eager protagonists encounter death, love, loss, sex, hate, work and war, all at accelerated speed during a brief childhood yet never encounter adulthood. They don't get that chance. Silent Wings is a touching and poignant look at those lives that ended before their time was due.
