This is the playwright's stage debut, although the play received a rehearsed reading and tryout performance for one night only in June 2001 as part of the Blue Elephant's new wirting programme 'Hijack'. Rickman, 76, joined the army at 18, serving in South East Asia Command. He became interested in military history and uniforms which led to work on costumes and equipment for films and TV productions including 'A Man For All Seasons', 'The Charge of the Light Brigade', 'Elizabeth R' and 'Dr Who'. Mark has published short stories in the UK and around the world and has taught creative writing. He lives in Streatham. Presented with The Sniper
