Details
It's 1974, Ted Heath's at Number 10 and you can buy a pint of beer for less than 25p. In the North of England something's stirring. Every weekend thousands of young people make their way to the Wigan Casino, eager to dance to non-stop obscure Black American music from a decade earlier - the beat known as Northern Soul. Joe is a 17 year old 'soul boy' with little to look forward to except his soul weekenders. This is his journey - not only to Wigan - but through the full twelve months that have come to be regarded as the true end of the 1960's.
