A child stands still as mayhem rises around her. Bullets fly and bodies fall. She sees her brother beaten and die. She has learnt to hate, not fear; she has anger, not respect; she hits out rather than talks through. She fears honesty, loathes caring and despises all who are not like her. Set in the contemporary North East, Spitting Love is a performance piece which explores the lives of young people on the margins.
