Still Lives archiveSet in England and France between 1903 and 1907, Still Lives is based on the extraordinary lives and relationships of Augustus and Gwen John, Ida Nettleship and Dorelia McNeil. Gwen, Ida and Dorelia shared not only an ambition to become artist but also a close involvement with the charismatic bohemian artist Augustus, who was Gwen's brother, Ida's husband and Dorelia's lover. Their lives were experimental, liberated and astonishing: By turns hilarious, heroic, tragic.
