The Kings of trad jazz return after their sell-out show in last year’s Snape Proms with music from 1920s and ‘30s Chicago and New Orleans by Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Clarence Williams, Jimmy Noone and Duke Ellington. The Swedish Jazz Kings were pioneers in re-discovering this repertoire, and nobody plays it with more vitality and authenticity. They illuminate the past with their re-creation of the atmosphere of the speakeasies and cabaret clubs of the jazz age.
