Italy, 1968 and the affluent family members of an authoritarian Milanese industrialist fall hopelessly into a spiral of lust, sexual awakening and mystical turmoil as a charismatic stranger comes to stay. Based on the writings by the late Italian poet, activist and intellectual, Pier Paolo Pasolini and his film Teorema, this new play, written and directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna is an emotionally charged flow of stunning tableaux. Unravelling with the dreamlike pace of an intricate mystery, it follows the inner journeys of five characters from a life of bourgeois hypocrisy and emotional emptiness to an extreme of perdition and higher awareness.
