There was once a poor, lonely, orphaned girl called Jackie who lived with her grandmother in a big old house on the edge of town. Sometimes she didn't mind being lonely, for she had plenty to do as her grandmother kept her busy with cooking and cleaning. But sometimes she'd feel the wind blowing in a certain direction and a great gaping emptiness would fill her stomach and she'd yearn for the company of another girl just like herself - someone to sing and play with.
