The Beautiful Journey archiveSOMETHING HAS HAPPENED...Something that has made us leave our homes forever and it has brought us all to the last place on earth. A mythic haven, where 'Queen Kalypso' hosts a world of quirky entertainment and strange comfort. She welcomes us with refreshments and will keep us safe; she asks only one thing, that we will never, ever leave her During this 2 hour theatrical experience we are free to explore Kalypso's surreal dockyard world, where hairdressers tell your fortune, gardeners mourn the loss of the bees and her sailor lover weaves a boat everyday only to take it apart every evening. We witness the bizarre acts of the shanty cabaret; listen to the live house band, singing for their supper. This future world is a place where we can experience the Memory Projector, be photographed against a future of your choice, dance under lights powered by bicycles and explore Kassandra's extensive collection of oceans. Then the ice arrives. The ice that contains something so extraordinary that It changes everything... The Beautiful Journey is a promenade performance featuring film, food, flowers, flirting and hope. Not recommended for children under 7 years. This is an outdoor performance so please dress for the weather.
