The Blood of Others archiveParis, June 1st 1958. The eve of General De Gaulle's election victory. Jean Blomart, resistance hero and political radical, books a room in a rundown hotel, his only luggage: a gun. the Left is dead and his dreams are turned to dust. Today he will face his crimes and find peace. Written during the occupation and published in 1945, this second novel from the writer of The Second Sex dramatises the existentialist dilemma and the mental turmoil of those who fought in the French resistance.
