The Butcher & The Beast

The Butcher & The BeastT0755758531
Meet Fred - Fred is a butcher - And a barber-surgeon - He is learning anatomy - By dissecting corpses The Butcher & The Beast is a journey through 200 years of medical discovery and understanding about what it is to be human, to live and to die, through the life of one man, Fred the Butcher. Playing on themes of life, death, empathy and humour, the show illustrates some of the ethically questionable activities undertaken in the pursuit of knowledge and the consequences of these endeavours - good and bad, but never without significance.
