The Frozen Deep archiveOriginally performed as a play by Wilkie Collins and his friend Charles Dickens in 1857, it centres around the failed expedition to discover the North-West Passage in 1845. At the time it was described as 'a stirring play about heroism, sex and sacrifice set in the North Pole'!
