Details
A romp through London's underworld, where characters feel compelled to plot against their neighbours, taking on a bewildering number of disguises in the process. The moral centre is Benjamin Gripe - the honest lawyer ever eager to right the wrongs his usury-loving father has wrought in the world. "Shakespeare and the Lawyers" has been chosen as Globe Education's spring theme to complement the Globe's anniversary production of Twelfth Night in the Middle Temple Hall. The programme of staged reading and lectures will explore the lawyers' relationship to the theatre in the 16th and 17th centuries.
