This 'musical drama' explores the extraordinary story of the end of Chopin's stormy relationship with his lover George Sand. The unfolding drama set against a background of some of the composer's most profound and original music, the Ballades for instance, played live, which become a musical echo of the real life 'ballade' of Chopin's final years.
