Details

Euripides' classic reworking of the Theban Plays of Sophocles is given new life in an adaptation by Mark Oldknow. A wife is forced to witness her son's struggle for the crown. A sister looks down on the armies preparing to tear her beloved city apart. A brother-in-law sits silently in the wings waiting for his chance to seize power. A husband, blinded and powerless, hears the inevitable violent outcome of his family's tragic saga.
