Michele Celeste's brilliantly articulate play is about eight women struggling to survive in a Yorkshire town where nobody has worked since the pit closed. It deals with serious issues of poverty, domestic violence and murder, in the middle of nosey neighbours, scrounging for pig tails and a gran who is obsessed with Marks and Spencer.
