Daniel Abner wakes one morning to find that he has died. Somewhere between heaven and hell, trapped in a shrinking cage of his own making, he struggles to defend his life before the meddlesome Eumenides - who refuse to say if they are acting as his judge, jury or executioner. Character witnesses called from Daniel's past include his overbearing mother, an embittered business partner now seeking revenge, and the betrayed ex-wife who might provide the redemption that saves him. This thought-provoking play - selected as the best written last year by a creative writing student at UWN - examines the demons that lurk in our memories and the fears of retribution that haunt our futures.
