The Return
T1375903213
It's a cold rainy winter in industrial Bergamo, and a young woman is visiting her family after a long time. But their apparently mundane conversation hides a dark secret... Who killed her fiance, a Moroccan immigrant illegally employed by her father? And why is her father now speaking to ghosts? Italian playwright Sergio Pierattini mixes social commentary, darkly humorous dialogue, and a creeping sense of claustrophobia to tell us a story about the fear of the 'different', the disintegration of the traditional family and the collapse of old ideals.
