The Romantics archiveIn the Drawing Room at Field Place in Bournemouth, Mary Shelley opens her writing desk to reveal her precious letters from late husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley. With her are her daughter-in-law and her son, Percy Florence Shelley. He is the only child still alive from Mary's passionate relationship with the Poet which began when she was just fifteen. In a flat in Islington a mother looks through the drawers of a desk that holds memories of her youth Her son and girlfriend come in with a newspaper, The headline. "Rock Star Dead". 'The Romantics' is an entertainment filled with humour, sadness and personal recollection as the trio read letters, entries, poetry and lyrics with explore the works of the 'pop stars' of the 19 Century Shelley, Keats and the mad, bad Byron and the 20th Century 'romantics' Lennon, Mercury and Hutchence.
