In 1959 Mr William Shankly walked into Liverpool Football Club and was greeted by a run down ground, where the wind rattled through the corrugated roof of all parts of the stadium. By the time he resigned in 1974 he had brought three Division 1 titles, one Division 2 title, two FA Cups and a UEFA Cup to Anfield and had set the foundations for the decades of greatness to come.
