Details

Andy Dufresne is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and sent to the notorious Shawshank Prison to serve two life sentences. Stripped of his life, family and freedom, Andy is forced to endure a spirit-crushing routine. User Review: 11May23: In response to Snitbabe comment. The reference to Boggs disappearance happens after Andy and Stammas library scene when the 3 cons are on the bridge shouting down at Andy that Boggs is in the infirmary and they don't think he's going to make it. We then do not see him appear on stage until the bows.

User Review: 29Oct22: Absolutely amazing - my favourite film of all time and to see the characters come to life in front of us on stage was incredible and very moving. It was true to the story and to the themes of hope, friendship and justice. Beautifully staged with incredible performances from all of the actors - particularly Andy and Red. We saw this in Guildford on 29th October, it received a genuinely deserved standing ovation and now rates in my advanced years as the best stage play I have seen. I would recommend to anyone who loves pure theatre to go and see this gem. Thank you for this experience!
