The Silent Comedies of Harold Lloyd archiveThe musicians of The Lucky Dog Picturehouse are dedicated to recreating the original cinema experience; bringing together classic silent films and live, period specific music. They have performed and lectured at BFI Southbank, LoCo Film Festival, London Transport Museum, Standon Calling and numerous other venues across the UK. Monday 3rd July - Speedy (1929) plus shorts Mayhem in the Big Apple as baseball-mad Harold attempts to save the city's last horse-drawn trolley with help from sporting legend Babe Ruth! Thursday 4th July - The Freshman (1925) plus shorts The Freshman showcases Lloyd's faculty for physical comedy as well as his trademark charm, cementing his place alongside Keaton and Chaplin as a true master of silent comedy.
