The Yellow Wallpaper archiveA writer is confined in an attic by her husband. Haunted by echoes of a previous occupant (and the awful wallpaper) she sets off on a mission to expose the pattern. A gothic horror and commentary on Victorian sexual politics. The Yellow Wallpaper will explore the themes of powerlessness and oppression through the story of a young learning disabled woman, confined to her home by a well meaning but over protective father. Our young heroine yearns for the freedom to develop her artistic talents as well as pursue a relationship with her lover.
