The Yellowjacket archiveIs it a bird? Is it a plane? More likely it's an insectzoidal humanoid bent on stealing your freshly baked pie. You'd better call The Yellowjacket, then. Taking his cue from popular 1940s radio shows such as Superman and The Green Hornet, New York artist Brian Dewan has written and scored a comic-based drama for this live public recording event. He is joined by poet and comedian John Hegley and actor Sir Gideon Vein to provide the voices for a host of crime-fighting bug-men and arch-villains including Dr Thorax, The Silver Centipede, The Mean Bunny and the Mosquito. Dewan leads a full musical ensemble on autoharp and electric zither. World Premiere. Please Note: The Yellowjacket takes place at Traverse 3, University of Edinburgh Drill Hall, 41 Forrest Road, Edinburgh, EH1 2QL.
