No identification. No money. No home. Where's the silver lining? Set on one road in London, the play looks at four separate lives, and invites the audience to follow the true stories of these people. With their emotive tales, the audience journey through the meaning of security, isolation and belonging, and are forced to think about where and why they feel safe. The characters share little in common, but honing in on the significance of space, the one thing they do share is a public toilet. For some it becomes a home, for others a cage, and for one, it's their graffiti canvas; a place to be honest.
These Four Walls is a passionate, poetic and perceptive portrayal of the cultural and economic diversity that one road in London has to offer. It encourages the audience to think of the lives that may seem worlds apart, but are really just a stone's throw away. Come and walk a mile in the shoes of one who has lost everything and in doing so, has found something out of the ordinary.
