Acclaimed Japanese actress and Shakespeare interpreter, Aki Isoda brings to York her presentations of two of Shakespeare heroines Lady Macbeth in a western style and, A Vision of Ophelia in a Japanese style. Aki Isoda is a pioneer of the solo performer play in Japan, and has won numerous national and international awards including the Shakespeare in Japan award from the Shakespeare Globe Trust in London, and the Japanese Foreign Ministers Award.
