An excavation of Shakespearean adaptations at The Courtyard Theatre throughout January. The programme begins with Dottir an exploration of the rejection and savage strength of the female voice through Shakespeare's iconic daughter characters. Which is running from the 5th - 31st of January in the Main House. Every other week, a new production will take over the studio. The programme is as follows: 5th - 10th Queen Mab // Derived from Mercutio's lyrical tellings in Romeo and Juliet. 12th - 17th The Beasts // A sequel to Much Ado and the remnants of the love affair of Beatrice and Benedick. 19th - 24th Endgame Ariel // Gender identity through the actions and purposes of cross-dressing found in Merchant, As You Like It, Twelfth Night and the sexual fluidity found in Ariel from The Tempest. 26th - 31st Coverage // A reporting and mirroring of Julius Caeser as told by a right wing political news station.
