Voyagers archiveAn astronaut on the first flight to Mars, starts to believe he is Christopher Columbus, hearing the voices of Marco Polo, Captain Cook and Sinbad the Sailor urging him to go forward for the glory of discovery. Voyagers is about the clash of cultures when explorers reached their goals. It questions the ethics of exploration and colonisation, whether it is a new land or another planet. Voyagers uses music, masks and movement to create stunning theatrical images with vitality and humour. Supported by Glaxo Smith Kline.
