Weather Eye Open takes the form of a spoken journal recounting the personal experiences of artist Elaine Townson reworking the theme of the Odyssey. It is a journey embracing the minute stuff of everyday life and the macroscopic possibilities of the universe. References to navigation, the natural world, history, science, memory and myth punctuate the performance while running throughout are shifting emotions and thoughts, undercurrents and flashes of light. The performance is a moving piece set within a wonderfully atmospheric soundscapes by Paul Chauncy combined with evocative projected images.
