Were the World Mine archiveWe Are: and Bristol Shakespeare Festival, strange bedfellows? We present a night with the Bard.... Working with We Are: Proud, Bristol's Pride 2012 event, we are excited to present a very special pop-up performance followed by the award-winning reworking of A Midsummer Night's Dream: Were the World Mine. If you had a love-potion, who would you make fall madly in love with you? Timothy is openly gay, which doesn't make him popular with his fellow classmates. His eccentric teacher casts him as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream and he discovers a secret recipe hidden in the script. Playfully he creates a new reality by turning much of his narrow-minded town gay, beginning with the rugby-jock of his dreams. Things start to get very lively on campus, among both the students and the teachers. The course of true love never did run smooth.
