The latest in Michael Kelligan's season of script-held plays tells the story of 'the true voice of the English-speaking valleys', Gwyn Thomas. A native of the Rhondda, Thomas struggled to establish himself during the 1930s depression, and became a schoolteacher for 20 years before fulfilling his ambitions as a full-time writer and broadcaster.
