Dave is a failed air traffic controller ("lose one blip and everyone's on your case"), failed gorillagram, and the work seems to have dried up for his blossoming career as a Gary Glitter lookalike. So now he's the natural successor to Plato and Socrates from behind the wheel of his van - the urban philosopher with an opinion on everything who's not afraid to express it.
