When Trevor and Kate invited their old friend Michael, a writer, and his new girlfriend, Virginia, to stay, it seemed like a good idea. Now they're not so sure. Michael's presence in their home brings to the surface doubts, insecurities and tensions, which have been simmering for years. Certainly, having friends round doesn't bring out the best in Trevor!
