Wandering in the fog and rain, Shakespeare's witches were lucky to meet Macbeth and deliver their prophecy. But what if they didn't? The Wyrd Sisters Theatre Company introduce a new play by George King, WYRD, imagining the three weird sisters waiting upon the blasted heath for Macbeth to arrive. But when will he? And how will they recognize him? Able to forecast regime change but not the eternal storm in which they are caught, WYRD's witches struggle to form meaningful connection in a bleak but darkly comical world. Questioning identity, time, and existence, WYRD asks: When foresight outweighs memory and the future is at stake, what is worth waiting for?
