Welsh novelist Daniel Owen is transported from his Mold tailor's shop in 1876 to the same shop in 2002. His successor Robert is a discontented man with a failing business an a marriage to match. Daniel is shocked by twenty first century morals but adapts surprisingly easily to his new time, especially taking to his nubile assistant, Emma.
