Islands by Judith Schalansky Islands is mainly built around the question of survival of the fittest, and explores the many different situations that one can be confronted with when discovering a new land. We also look at the complicated relation between man and nature - who is to rule? Welcome into our world of rare animals and strange people, native tribes, lost explorers, mutinous sailors and forgotten castaways.
