The Floating Beacon

T1214702047
McCormick Puppets presents some of the Theatre Museum's unique company of Victorian marionettes in a brand new production of one of the plays they first performed 180 years ago. The Floating Beacon, or The Wild Woman of the Wreck, the nautical melodrama by Edward Fitzball, was originally produced with great acclaim at London s Surrey Theatre in 1824. A tale of love, murder and mystery, it features the heroic British sailor Jack Junk and the terrible Angerstoff who imprisons the orphan Frederic on board the lighthouse ship The Floating Beacon. It also includes dramatic special effects and a piano accompaniment of newly-researched Victorian melodrama music. Age 8+
