A poet, children's novelist, short story writer and now the author of six novels, Helen Dunmore has a string of awards and prizes to her name, including the Orange Prize for Fiction in 1996 for A Spell of Winter. She will be reading from her latest collection of short stories Ice Cream (2000) and her most recent novel, With Your Crooked Heart (1999).
