Further success was to come with the musical Sail Away, as recalled by the Broadway diva Elaine Stritch. The programme follows events up to Coward's knighthood at the age of 70, and his retirement and sudden death in his beloved Jamaica.

Coward was a famously keen traveller, and this programme looks at his voyages around the world, particularly the journeys to the Far East which inspired a brace of songs such as Mad Dogs and Englishmen. Original home footage shot by Coward and his travelling companion earl Amherst reveals their adventures in Japan, Peking and Ceylon in the 1930's. With contributions from Sir John Mills, Sir John Gielgud, Judy Campbell and Richard Attenborough.
